Greater KC FIRST LEGO League Championship

FreeIn FIRST LEGO League Challenge, teams of students in grades 4-8 research a real-world engineering challenge, develop a solution and compete with LEGO-based robots of their own design. Teams advance to the Greater Kansas City FIRST LEGO League Championship through one of sevearl FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournaments in November and December.
Come enjoy the action as teams engage in table competition (and also participate in judging for core values, project and robot design). Robot competitions will take place in the Crown Center Shops Atrium (next to Starbucks and SPIN! Pizza) and the competition is free and open to the public. NOTE: Masks are required for all team participants, coaches, mentors, volunteers and family members; and encouraged for the visiting public.
Here’s the schedule*
7:15 a.m. Local robotics teams arrive and unload/set up robotics
8:30 a.m. Practice robot rounds begin
12:00 p.m. FIRST LEGO League Opening Ceremony and Team Celebration
12:45 p.m. Official robot rounds begin
3:55 p.m. Robot game ends
4:45 p.m. Awards and Closing Ceremony
