Urban Tec’s Makey Makey Workshop Series Begins
May 6, 2017 @ 9:00 am
MaKey MaKey provides students with the opportunity to be engineers without needing to be experts in electrical engineering. By participating in a creative design process as MaKey MaKey, students reimagine how they might interact with computers they use daily.
This MaKey MaKey workshop will take students in grades 3-6 and 7-12 from understanding the basics of the MaKey MaKey circuit board to connecting objects with a computer, transforming those objects into computer keys or mouse clicks. Students can playfully invent new devices, instruments, and controllers, or remix familiar objects – as long as they are adequately conductive. The 3-hour, four-part workshops will take place over four consecutive Saturdays in May.
The value of this four-part workshop series is $400 however, Urban TEC is offering a special pre- summer cost of $100 per participant for the four-part series. Discounts available for small groups (5 participant minimum) and multi-family member registrations.
