Urban TEC/Digital Media Lab’s Hidden Figures Book Club Begins

Urban TEC and the Kansas City Public Library’s Digital Media Lab will celebrate Women’s History Month by forming a book club to read the youth version of Hidden Figures.
KC Public Library will provide the books and refreshments. The girls must commit to attend each meeting on March 5, 12, 19 and 26. A STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) event on Saturday, April 1, will celebrate the completion of reading the book.
The girls will be responsible for reading 50 pages per week. At the book club, we will discuss the lives of the women in the movie; compare/contrast the book with the movie and enjoy lively discussions.
