Palestine Missionary’s 2017 Teen Innovation Summit
March 5, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Area teens are invited to attend the 2017 Teen Innovation Summit as part of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ’s monthly Teen First Sunday sessions.
The Teen Summit kicks off with an innovation workshop led by Stefana Saxton, Business Excellence Innovation Leader at Black & Veatch. Following the workshop, local technologists and innovators from under-represented and immigrant populations will participate in the Innovation & STEM Symposium. Teens will be encouraged to ask candid questions about embracing innovation. Panelists will be challenged to share their personal stories of triumph while pursuing a rewarding and successful career in STEM.
The symposium will be moderated by April Boyd-Noronha, Founder and Chief Solution Architect at The STEM Broker, LLC. Featured panelists include Neelima Paraskar, Founder and CEO of SnapIT Solutions, George White, Proposal Manager in Power Generation Services at Black & Veatch, and Annissa Freeman, a modern-day “human computer” employed in the bio-tech and medical field.
Pre-registration is required at bit.ly/teeninnovation. This event is free and open to all teens. For more information, please call 816-214-3717.
