The Engineering Extravaganza
February 2, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Join Learn Science and Math Club for a STEM-filled day of learning disguised as play during the Engineering Extravaganza with nine hands-on design/build challenges.
At this year’s Extravaganza, future engineers will:
– Survive the Giant Egg Drop: Design and test parachutes to protect the magical chicks that could save the world
– Clear the Valley of Poisonous Snakes: Construct extending grabbers and capture the snakes
– Craft Paper Circuits: Use provided templates or design your own to create sparkling paper circuits
– Build a Bristlebot: Design and race your own bristle robot
– Shoo away Angry Birds: Build and test fire your own cork shooter
– Paddle Down our River: Create and race your paddle boat
– Create the Coolest Paper Airplanes: Then, compete to fly the farthest or most acrobatically
– Fabricate a Triangle Slinger : And then take it out for target practice
– Build a LEGO City: Help us create the coolest LEGO city ever!
Move from station to station, building cool things with our fun and wacky technical mentors, or settle in and work on a project for hours. Join in for the day or only for an hour.
