Let’s Talk: Closing the Gender Gap in STEM ‘What’s Next’

July 21, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

Join the KC STEM Alliance in this five-part series of conversations to explore the ways our region is moving to close the gender gap in STEM.

Moderated by Dr. Margery Sendze, the interactive series will look at key influences and success stories at each stage of STEM education—from kindergarten through high school. Panelists will include community and corporate partners, mentors, parents, teachers, students and women with STEM careers. Join us at 9 a.m. on consecutive Tuesdays as we answer your questions and explore what’s working and why and work to identify gaps and consider how to address them.

The schedule:

9-10 a.m. June 23
Kicking it off: The Power of a Moment
Featuring Cindy Wallis-Lage, President of Black & Veatch’s Water Business

9-10:30 a.m. June 30

You can attend the full series or a single topic of interest as your schedule allows.

A time-limited replay of this series will be available, but we encourage you to attend live if you are able. A resource list will be made available after each session and a comprehensive report will be published this fall.
