KU Natural History Museum’s Science on Tap | Free State Brewing Co.
February 20, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Construction of the South Lawrence Trafficway significantly affected the Baker Wetlands, but a mitigation plan developed by Roger and Jon Boyd, in partnership with the Kansas Department of Transportation and contractor Emory Sapp and Sons, has expanded the wildlife habitat from 573 to 927 acres. This Science on Tap presentation will cover what transpired through the mitigation process and the outcomes.
