The second annual KC STEM Summit took place September 30, 2019, with the purpose of connecting, communicating and collaborating. We extend a special thank you to Laura Evans from the Kauffman Foundation for providing an update on Kauffman’s Real World Learning Initiative. Several school districts have received planning grants to determine how they can increase student access to Real World Learning opportunities and gain market value assets. See the slide deck here >
Participants spent time identifying how their organizations can intersect with this important work as well as other STEM ecosystem initiatives and received an update on STEM Connect-KC, an aggregation of STEM opportunities and the organizations behind them. Download the presentation and handouts.

The first-ever KC STEM Summit took place August 23, 2018, with the purpose of connecting, communicating and collaborating. With more than 115 people representing nearly 70 organizations offering STEM programming or support, the meeting helped jump start new collaborative possibilities within the greater Kansas City community.
