Remake Learning Days is a regional festival for the future of work and learning that will turn the Kansas City area into an open house learning laboratory, featuring fun and free events for youth of all ages. Families can come together to experience making, new technology, art workshops, science experiments, robotics, outdoor learning and more!

Remake Learning Days-Kansas City focuses on our region but is connected to a national conversation with partners like Remake Learning NetworkPBS KIDS and Digital Promise. Remake Learning Days Across America is taking root in 16 regions across America in 2021.

About Remake Learning Days

Remake Learning Days Across America is a celebration of innovative experiences and opportunities for youth to develop their sense of creativity, perseverance and curiosity. The festival features events and activities hosted by a variety of organizations, such as schools, museums, libraries, after school organizations, early child care centers, universities, media centers, tech startups and more.  These experiences are designed to be relevant and engaging for youth of all ages (pre-K through high school) and their families, caregivers and educators. The majority of events are free and open to kids of all ages, and will likely include a mix of remote and small in-person gatherings as conditions allow.

Events are organized by different learning themes such as: Arts, Maker, Outdoor Learning, Science, Technology and Youth Voice. In addition, there are Professional Development sessions for school, out-of-school, child care and non-traditional educators. Next spring, families and youth will be able to search events by  date/time, location, learning theme, age group (pre-K through high school) and more on the Kansas city page of the Remake Learning Days Across America website.

Host a Remake Learning Days event

Be part of the fun and show how your organization helps Kansas City’s kids get ready for the future by hosting an event at your site or with a partner or a remote learning opportunity.

What is a Remake Learning Days event?

A RLD event is one that is innovative, youth-centered (for youth Pre-k–grade 12), free or low cost, family-friendly and open to the public. Events should provide an engaging learning experience (virtual or in person) using one or more RLD themes: arts, maker, outdoor learning, science, technology and youth voice.

Who can host a Remake Learning Days event?

We welcome all event hosts, whether you are a school, after-school organization, museum, library, community center, arts space, tech company, makerspace, park, for-profit or non-profit organization.

Remake Learning Days-KC will take place May 1-10, 2021. Join us for a kickoff celebration at 1 p.m. January 13, 2021!
