STARBASE Kansas City

Kansas STARBASE is the U.S. Department of Defense’s award winning science, technology, engineering and math youth program. In 1993, Kansas STARBASE was established to serve students in 4th, 5th or 6th grades who are historically under-represented in STEM. Students engage in inquiry-based curriculum with a “hands-on, minds-on” experiential learning.

Teamwork is stressed as students learn to work together exploring STEM lessons. Additional benefits include supporting the local school districts’ curriculum with resources and expertise that teachers cannot replicate in the traditional classroom.
