For Kansas Computer Science Teachers: AP Summer Institutes

Kansas educators: College Board will offer computer science Advanced Placement ® (AP) professional learning opportunities for Kansas teachers and administrators in the Kansas City metro this summer. Whether your school already offers a AP computer science course or is considering adding AP computer science course(s) in future, you’re invited to attend.

 

AP Summer Institute for AP CSP and AP CSA
Register for a free AP CSP or AP CSA AP Summer Institute. During the workshop, teachers will engage with the Course and Exam Description (CED), develop a yearlong instructional plan that incorporates all components as referenced in the CED and explore AP Classroom. Additionally, teachers will practice interpreting data from AP reports and tools and will identify instructional strategies and tools that can be incorporated into lesson plans. This session is open to current AP teachers and teachers who are interested in teaching AP CSP or AP CSA.

Achieving Equity in AP Workshops
Register for an Achieving Equity in AP workshop. Participants will explore how to create an AP program devoted to improving access to and equity in advanced academics for students from all populations. This workshop is open to administrators and teachers to attend as teams.

When registering for an event, educators will be prompted to create a College Board professional educator account. Educators will provide information about their school and role. If an educator already has a College Board professional educator account, then those credentials will be used to register for a workshop.
