FIRST® LEGO® League World Class Challenge coming to Union Station January 17

How do you improve the way someone learns?

See 40 solutions from more than 400

4th – 8th graders @ Union Station

Saturday, January 17

They were born in a Digital Age where information is literally at their fingertips. But that’s not the same as learning. What do they need to learn? And how can they make that learning experience better?

This season’s FIRST® LEGO® League World Class Challenge provides some pretty unique answers. Like, how a classmate can better communicate with a fellow student on the autism spectrum. How Kansas City residents can best learn to properly dispose of electronic devices. Real-life problems with real-life solutions researched and created by kids.

WHAT: Greater Kansas City FIRST LEGO League Championship at Union Station, 30 W. Pershing, Kansas City, MO

WHEN: Saturday, January 17, 2015 • 7:30 am – 4:30 pm • Public encouraged to attend Noon – 4:00 pm

WHO: More than 400 students, 4th – 8th grade, explore ways to gather knowledge and skills in the 21st century—through research and LEGO robots.

WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Hundreds of bright, eager 4th – 8th graders. 40 KC area teams share their research and solutions through exhibits and presentations. Each team will compete in the robot game with a LEGO robot built and programmed by students.
