Saturday STEM Seminar: Curiosity is Nature’s PhD

FreeDuring Science City’s Saturday STEM Seminars, STEM professionals present hot topics in science, technology, engineering and math as well as highlights of their education and career paths. A Q&A session follows. The seminars, geared toward students in grades 7-12, are open to the public. Registration is required, but walk-ups are welcome!
In this session, Maynard Okereke, better known as the Hip Hop M.D., will take students on an engaging ride through the fascinating world of science.
Okereke graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is an award-winning Science Communicator, having received both the Asteroid Award for “Best Streaming Content” and the People of Change Award for his community outreach efforts. His passion for science and entertainment, along with his curiosity for new innovation has taken him through an incredible life journey.
