Delightful Domestication: Our Furry and Feathered Friends

Little Explorers’ Club is designed for preschool-aged learners. In this session, kids will discover that the basic evolutionary path and changes that occur in species of animals and plants usually is dictated by environmental changes and is a very slow process. However when humans take charge, the process changes drastically. Rather than wait for the slow change of evolution for the desired characteristics (that may or may not reveal themselves), humans embark on the tedious task of selective breeding called domestication.
