Fun with Food Summer Camp | K-State-Olathe

This camp is for the curious junior scientist, grades 6-8, who wants to know the how and why of food. Explore the crazy science behind food and the way we taste it—including learning the answer to the question of why junk food tastes so good.
Lessons include:
• Chemistry and packaging of processed foods
• Learning about the five taste groups
• Career exploration and applying science to growing
• Food preparation
At the end of the week, campers will prepare and share treats with their families and guests.
The camp runs 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily July 15-19 at the K-State Olathe location.
