College of Technology Open House | Pittsburg State University

Pittsburg State University invites 10th through 12th graders, both groups and individuals, to explore interactive displays and exhibits during its College of Technology Open House. Among the technologies to check out:
Wood Technology: CNC router demo, manufacturing and labs;
Graphics & Imaging: screen printing, packaging, 3D scanning, app building;
Automotive Technology: transmission and tech lab, diesel and heavy equipment, collision repair
Electrical Technology: electrical machinery and equipment, automation control, commercial wiring
Electronics Engineering Technology: electrical motor drive demo, embedded systems
Mechanical Engineering: fluid mechanics, materials lab demo;
Plastics Engineering Technology: injection molding, thermoforming;
School of Construction: safety HAZMAT, 3D printer, sand pit, construction surveying with lasers, building modeling, virtual reality/augmented reality, interior design, CAT simulators (dozer, loader, and excavator), concrete materials testing, bobcat mini-excavator/aerial drone;
Technology and Engineering Education: Rokenbok Education demo, Video Production Studio, Laser Engraving demo, Robotics, Makerbot 3D Printing;
Manufacturing Engineering Technology: Moonbuggy.
