Coding & Cupcakes | Game Development I

September 14 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join this monthly coding series where parents and daughters learn about code and bond while working on programming projects together. The mission? To get girls excited about code at a young age and to dispel any notion that coding isn’t for girls.

In this workshop attendees will learn to build their own text-based game using tools like Python and Mu Editor. Python is a high-level programming language designed to be easy to read and simple to implement. Mu is a Python editor for beginning programmers, designed to make the learning experience more pleasant. It gives students the ability to experience success early on and was written by a teacher for students. The session includes lots of guidance and support for those with little to no coding experience.
