Code Ninjas Holiday Hack-A-Thon

Calling all coders! Code Ninjas invites all who are up for a coding challenge to celebrate Computer Science Education Week and the holidays during a Holiday Hack-A-Thon. Kids will hone their game building, coding and teamwork skills using Scratch® and will have the chance to win prizes both locally and nationally.
Participants will compete with other coders in a race to create the coolest game! Holiday Hack-A-Thon is a public event at Code Ninjas Centers nationwide. Each team will consist of two coders. Participants will have 1.5 hours to create a new game with presentation and prizes to follow.
You are not required to be a student at Code Ninjas to participate. Children must be ages 7-14 and have some experience with Scratch to participate. All games will be built in Scratch.
The first place winner from each center will be reviewed by Code Ninjas Headquarters; teams who create the TOP three games will win amazing prizes, including a PREMIUM GAMING LAPTOP for the Grand Prize.
Participation is free with a wrapped technology toy for local charity. Because of limited spacing, prior registration is required for this event.
