21st Century Careers: Today’s Leadership Landscape

October 15, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Teachers and high school students are invited to a series of live virtual events to learn about a variety of career paths from those who have risen to the top of their fields. Students will have direct access to leaders of local industry and hear firsthand about their career journeys and the skills needed for success. There will be opportunities for students to build their leadership style and skills, as well as find out about good-paying jobs that don’t require a four-year degree.

Pre-registration is required and there is no cost to attend. With one teacher registration, students may participate as an in-person class or individually as remote learners. The technology platform used will be WebEx and it can be accessed via a temporary, one-time use or downloaded beforehand. Additional information to access each webinar will be provided in advance.

Eileen Weir, Mayor of Independence, Mo.; Davyeon Ross, Co-Founder of ShotTracker; and Pedro Zamora, Executive Director of the Hispanic Economic Development Corporation, will discuss their career paths, leadership qualities, advice for future leaders, job responsibilities and much more in this session of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s career development series.
