2017 Eclipse: Missouri’s Cosmic Show | Oak Grove Library
July 21, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
On August 21, 2017, Missouri will truly become the Show-Me State when a swath from St. Joseph to near Cape Girardeau will offer some of the best viewing of what’s being called The Great American Eclipse. It will be the first time in 40 years that a total solar eclipse will be visible from the continental United States and the first time in 148 years that one has been visible in Missouri. Join Mid-Continent Public Library to learn the science behind eclipses, all about the special effects the moon and the sun create together, and when, where, and how best to safely view it. All ages.
