11 Oct Civil Engineering + Design Careers Day

It was a day packed full of career-connected learning for more than 200 PLTW – Project Lead The Way students from 11 high schools during Civil Engineering + Design Careers Day on Oct. 10, 2023. This collaborative project between KC STEM Alliance, the Center for Architecture & Design Kansas City and ASCE-KC brings together professionals from a multitude of civil engineering and design professions so students can better understand potential career opportunities and the career paths they can take to get there. After networking with professionals and post-secondary institutions at UMKC, students headed out for onsite visits for a closer look at these fields.
