Society of Women Engineers-KC

SWE-KC is the Kansas City Section of the Society of Women Engineers. We bring SWE professional members in the Kansas City area together for the purpose of achieving Society-level goals on a local level. SWE-KC focuses specifically on professional development, STEM Outreach, networking events and recognizing women for their achievements.

SWE-KC hosts an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) for middle school students in November and for high school students in late February / early March. These programs introduce students to engineering disciplines through a keynote speaker, hands-on activities and partnering with an engineer in the Kansas City community for the day, and more.
