STEMM FIRE

STEMM FIRE focuses on bringing STEMM professionals out to rural and small town Kansas schools to increase exposure to STEMM careers, provide educational guidance, offer mentors, job shadowing and general STEMM support. We encourage the pursuit of STEMM degrees and advocate students returning to rural areas by highlighting local STEMM employers.  

Our goal is to work with parents and educators to provide a team of support to their students and focus on their individual needs. As our program develops, we hope to offer scholarships to rural students for regional STEMM events and potentially college credit courses. STEMM FIRE is continuously working on expanding our network of connections, providing students with paths to higher level education, regional STEMM programs and a number of other resources.  We work hard to provide access to a broad base of volunteers in a multitude of careers, prepared to mentor interested students.
