Project Central

Project Central works with schools to incorporate STEM and environmental education curriculum and programs.  We are currently working on a project-based learning module and database that will enable schools to inventory plants and animals on their schoolyards, enter the information in a shared database, and use the data to design projects with other schools.

The Schoolyard Biodiversity Exchange program is in its second round of field testing with teachers and we are starting to develop the database.  Project Central also works in the U.S. and internationally on teacher training and classroom activities using art to teach environmental concepts, Green Schools curriculum, and sustainability programs such as recycling, gardening, composting (landscape and food waste), wildlife habitat gardens, green schoolyards, and water quality.
