Science City Saturday STEM Series: The Wireless World

December 1, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

During Saturday STEM Seminars at Science City, STEM professionals present highlights about their careers and hot topics in STEM, followed by a Q&A session. The sessions, with take place at the Extreme Screen, are geared for students in grades 7-12.

In this session Troy Calderwood, Vice President of Engineering at ERISYS, LLC, considers how almost everything in the world communicates without wires. Wireless signals are everywhere at all times. Cell phones, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are just a few of the signals used every day. How do they work? What happens when they don’t? Come to “see” wireless signals in action.

No preregistration is required; sign in on site.
