Science City Saturday STEM Seminar: Engineering Principles Key to Designing a Water Park

FreeDuring Saturday STEM Seminars at Science City, STEM professionals present highlights about their careers and hot topics in STEM, followed by a Q&A session. The sessions, with take place at the Extreme Screen, are geared for students in grades 7-12.
In this session, Kyle McCawley, P.E. Senior Project Manager for Larkin Aquatics, will share the engineering principles needed to design a water park. Before anyone can enjoy the “thrills and spills” of a water park, detailed calculations, planning and evaluations are required. Learn about the many scientific and engineering principles needed to successfully design and safely construct these exciting recreational amenities.
