Geeks for Kids Car Assembly Event

Over the last three years, Geeks for Kids has built 31 custom, electric cars for kids with movement disabilities. Bringing together professional and student engineers and programmers to design and build the cars, Geeks for Kids empowers kids with movement disabilities to get out and explore their world on their own.

At this build event, participants will take the components designed and built over the last few months and put them together to produce a customized car for each child. Participants will form into teams and work through each phase of the assembly. While some of the tasks require technical skill, many just require patience and precision. Geeks for Kids will teach everyone how to do what needs to be done.
