19 Sep FIRST® Tech Challenge officially launches in Greater Kansas City
FIRST Tech Challenge, one of US FIRST’s four robotics programs, will join FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Jr. LEGO League, and FIRST Robotics Competition as official programs in Greater Kansas City. After hosting the regional FIRST LEGO League (FLL) tournaments and championship for students in grades 4-8, as well as the Greater Kansas City Regional FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) for students in grades 9-12, Kansas City FIRST officially launches the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics program in the Greater Kansas City region for students in grades 7-12. The KC STEM Alliance will be partnering with schools and community organizations to expand participation to under-served communities.
