Seeking female high school applicants for the Perry Outreach Program

KC STEM Alliance is pleased to announce the Perry Outreach Program on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the UMKC School of Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. The Perry Outreach Program is a free, one-day, hands-on experience for high school girls who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering. Students will hear from women leaders in these fields and try it for themselves by performing mock orthopaedic surgeries and biomechanics experiments. The Perry Outreach Program in Kansas City is sponsored by a grant from the KC STEM Alliance.

We are now seeking applications. Participants should be women in grades 10 and up with an expressed interest in science, medicine and/or engineering. Applications are due September 11, 2014.
