Bossi will be in Kansas City to encourage and congratulate area FIRST® robotics teams as they preview the new venue for one of the largest robotics competitions in the U.S., the 2014 KC Regional FIRST Robotics Competition. Bossi holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the first engineer to serve as president of the FIRST international organization and the holder of four U.S. Patents. His mission at FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) is to inspire the next generation of innovators through after-school, mentor-based robotics programs.
