Using the latest in simulated-patient technology, faculty at the University of Kansas Medical Center are creating clinical experiences that mimic real-life situations. Known as interprofessional education, these simulations allow students to experience scenes they’ll encounter in clinics with patients, families and their health care peers. Students from the KU Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Health Professions and Pharmacy participate in the exercises and learn first-hand the methods that translate to effective treatment.
